Nothing you browse leaves your browser. TabShoal is made by Fishball Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”). This page covers the TabShoal Chrome extension and this website.
What the extension reads
TabShoal reads the address of each tab in your browser, so it can tell which site the tab is on and put it in that site’s group. It does this inside your browser. It never reads what is on a page, and it never stores or sends the addresses.
What the extension keeps
- Your settings, in Chrome’s sync storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, Google syncs them between your browsers under Google’s Privacy Policy. They include any sites you have told it never to group.
- When your trial started, and your licence key, in Chrome’s local storage, on this browser only.
- Which tabs and windows it is looking after, while Chrome is open. Chrome clears this when it closes.
Removing TabShoal from Chrome deletes everything it kept on your computer.
What the extension sends
Once a day, TabShoal sends your licence key to Polar, our seller, to check that the licence is still active. Polar sees the request’s IP address, as any website does. Nothing else is sent: no addresses, no browsing history, no analytics, no crash reports.
Buying a licence
Polar Software, Inc. sells TabShoal as our merchant of record. At checkout it collects your name, email address and billing address, your IP address to work out the tax that applies, and your card details through its payment processor, Stripe. We can see your name, email address and purchase, so we can help you with it. See Polar’s Privacy Policy.
This website
This website has no analytics and sets no cookies. Cloudflare hosts it and processes your IP address to serve each request, under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
How we use it
We use this information only to run TabShoal and to sell and support your licence. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never pass it to anyone except the providers named above. TabShoal’s use of information from Chrome follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
