Terms
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms are between you and Fishball Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”), for the TabShoal Chrome extension and a TabShoal licence. By installing TabShoal or buying a licence, you agree to them.
The source code
TabShoal’s source code is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3, published at github.com/fishballapp/tabshoal. Anyone may build it themselves under that licence. These terms cover the copy we publish in the Chrome Web Store and the licence we sell for it.
Free trial
TabShoal works for 14 days from when you install it, without payment details. Nothing is charged unless you buy a licence.
Your licence
- Price: $10, £10 or €10 a year, plus any tax that applies, shown at checkout.
- Seller: Polar Software, Inc. sells the licence as our merchant of record. It takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipts, and its Buyer Terms also apply.
- Renewal: your licence renews every year until you cancel it.
- Cancelling: cancel at any time in Polar’s customer portal, linked from your receipt and from TabShoal’s panel. TabShoal keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.
- Use: the licence key is for your own browsers. Please don’t share it publicly.
- When it ends: TabShoal stops grouping tabs. The groups it already made stay as they are, and your settings are kept in case you subscribe again.
- Refunds: if you ask within 14 days of a payment, we will refund it. Email yo@fishball.app. This does not affect your statutory rights.
No guarantees
TabShoal works with Chrome’s own tab groups, which Google can change at any time. We keep TabShoal working as Chrome changes, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always work without interruption. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss from using TabShoal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending TabShoal
If we ever stop offering TabShoal, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. A change applies to your next renewal, not to a year you have already paid for.
